Welcome

We are please to announce the combined Super Saturday between the Milliken, Johnstown and Carlson Farm Wards on October 22, 2016.  This blog details the service project, classes and projects being offered during this activity.  We hope this will be a day full of fun and fellowship!

Turning In Super Saturday Project Money:
We are so excited that our combined Super Saturday is coming.  We have prepared order forms to make the preparations easier to process.  Please fully complete the order form keeping the tithing envelope attached to the form.  When you have your total, please fill out a tithing slip using the other field.  In the space next to the word “other,” please write Super Saturday and then you total in the total space. If you are writing a check, the check should be made out to the Johnstown Ward. Then seal it in the Johnstown Ward tithing envelope attached to your order form.  Please turn in your order form and envelope in as one complete package to Sara Campbell, Lori Seybert or Amy Vigil. The cut off to participate will be September 11. Due to the time needed to prepare the projects, there will be no exceptions. If possible, we highly encourage submitting your project orders as early as possible.

Super Saturday Service Project

Messages of Love, Hope and Inspiration:
Super Saturday is a great time not only to craft and socialize, but also serve our community. This year, we have selected a project that benefits the Loveland Community Kitchen, which utilizes the many talents of the Milliken, Johnstown and Carlson Farms Wards. The Community Kitchen is seeking small favors of uplifting scripture or uplifting thoughts written on card stock or construction paper with a small wrapped candy attached to give out after lunch. Holiday themed favors would be appreciated as well around any holiday time (Think Thanksgiving or Christmas). They need 40-60 daily, but any number would be appreciated. To make this a successful service project, we will be looking for donations of paper crafting supplies, ribbons and wrapped candy. It is our hope that everyone will plan to include time to work on this year's service.

The Loveland Community Kitchen's mission is "Food for those who are hungry, Conversation for those who are lonely, Rest for those who are weary".

If you'd like to learn more about the Loveland Community Kitchen please visit:

Maternity Clothing Drive:
Life Choices in Loveland is in need of gently used maternity and infant (size N-12 months) clothing.  Please bring any lightly used maternity and infant (under size 12 months) clothing that you are interested in parting with to Super Saturday for collection.  Life Choices is an organization that encourages women to made educated decisions about pregnancy.

Many times we can become so focused on serving others and trying to be helpful that we forget our own limits and limitations.  In this class, the topic of developing personal boundaries will be discussed, using the works of Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr John Townsend, and will look at gospel principles to help those who struggle with setting and maintaining personal boundaries.
